This empty nest couple wanted to build a small house primarily for themselves and an occasional guest. Their site was in the rolling hills of northeastern Pennsylvania on a fairly remote site. We designed a very dynamic two stories space for them with interior balconies from both upper bedrooms. The south side of the building faces a view, so it has a large covered terrace with a second floor exterior balcony. The house has three bedrooms and two full baths. At just over one thousand square feet though, it is a very small house.
