At the time, this was our most disappointing project. When we met the clients they were in negotiation with a modular home contractor and wanted to add four bedrooms to their nineteen-fifties ranch house to convert it to a residential care facility. This posed some interesting design problems, which we tackled and were excited about solving. The client was impressed and chose us over the modular home builder. We prepared drawings, a budget, and a construction schedule. After over a month of work the project was vetoed by the Susquehanna County planning commission.
